I am going to try to keep this a bit more updated in 08! I guess I am just not the diary keeping kind of gal... at least as of yet.
Mom was out for Molly's birthday and Thanksgiving! It was just awesome to have her here! Molly made sure she woke up early each morning grandma was here so she could crawl into bed with her! Grandma didn't seem to mind!
Christmas came and went in a flash of shiny wrapping paper & bows! The kids, of course, made out like bandits... but I got the best gift of all! I got a brand new SLR camera! I am so excited, I can hardly stand it! I am in the process of reading the manual, but boy I love it!
Molly and I have been trying to pick up around the house... ok, I am picking up and she follows behind me recreating the mess that I just put away! We have started to put away our Christmas decore. It seems like it has only been up for a few days... WOW time just flies!
Back to the grind on Wednesday... life back to normal. The normal routine of trying to keep up with an 11 year old that has developed a bottomless pit for a stomach and a four year old with a very active imagination!
Today we started Preschool and dance class! All in the same day!
Preschool started our morning off! I went into work early, left at 8:30, took her to school, and was back at work by 9:30 (no tears!) - Ken picked her up afterwards and took her back to grandmas! He said that she didn't want to leave! Good sign?
When I got off work, we went to dance class! Ballet & tap with a bit of tumbling thrown in for good measure! The majority of the girls were 4, where as Molly is 3-1/2, but she is the biggest! There is one younger girl, she just turned two! It is really cute to see them all dressed in their leotards and tights!
We made a discovery today! Molly has the grace of her mother! Poor girl! Hopefully we can help nurture rhythm and beat in her!
Next Preschool day is Thursday... and then we dance again next Tuesday!

Another birthday for me came & went... Thank goodness!
The past week or so has been very busy! This past weekend we visited the zoo again! Molly has discovered that she is very fond of giraffes & elephants! She also like statuary!
We are starting up again with swim lessons tomorrow! She is getting excited about it too!
Jonathon is finished with school for the summer! He ended with his grades on the up swing! Nothing lower than a B which is awesome considering that he was getting a D in one subject for a quarter. We are really proud of the progress that he made over this past year!
Speaking of Jon, it has been a bit refreshing that his taste in music is shying a way from the hip hop rap that the kids around here seem to be into. He has opted for some classic rock! Right now, his favorite bands are KISS, QUEEN, & HEART! Since his grades vastly improved by the end of the year, I am thinking of introducing him to Led Zepplin!
Don't always go together well! Especially tonight! She was horrible with a capital H! She didn't have a nap so she was inattentive, and very listless. Splashing, when asked not to...& she scooched down the wall into the deeper end of the pool (a life guard was walking on the edge of the pool trying to get her to go back) when she was supposed to be practicing bubble blowing... :( I was just a little embarrassed to say the least!
I had already enrolled her into the next level up, but her teacher wants her to go through her "Pike" class again. She has done really well, but her age and the fact that she won't jump into the water with out holding the teachers hands has shown the instructors that she could still use a bit of confidence building!
On an OMG moment, a really large breasted woman walked by and our little Miss Moo said "Oooooo! Look at the big momma!" Lucky for me, I don't think the woman heard her!
Please be patient while I get the feeling for this blog thing!
I really want to get this up and running for sharing video with friends & family members! Who knows what else I will add to this as the months roll by!
My first few videos are really short... and I do have one long one that I have to edit down to size so I can load it! Like I said... be patient please!
